Pedri ruled out of Euro 2024 as injury update provided on Barcelona star | OneFootball

An update on the wellbeing of Barcelona and Spain star Pedri has come to the fore on Friday evening.

As much comes after the 21-year-old was forced into a premature departure from his latest appearance on the international stage.

Mere minutes into Spain’s Euro 2024 quarter-final showdown with Germany, Pedri was upended by Toni Kroos in the middle of the park.

The challenge left the Barcelona youngster in a bad way, grounded and in evident pain whilst clutching his knee.

In turn, it came as little surprise when Pedri succumbed to the issue, limping from the field of play with tears in his eyes.

And, as alluded to above, as the action continues in Stuttgart, an insight into the wellbeing of the Spain star has come to the fore online.

The info comes courtesy of Spanish football insider Alfredo Martínez, who has confirmed that Pedri has indeed picked up a knee injury, which is expected to rule him out of the remainder of the Euros:

‘OFFICIAL: Pedri suffers an internal lateral sprain of his left knee. More tests will be performed to rule out associated injuries. His Euro Cup is over.’
