Pedro Raul’s Corinthians future is in doubt after internal assessments judged his training levels below expectations and his confidence shaken.

According to Globo.com, the club are prepared to negotiate his exit in this window, mindful of his output and impact on the wage bill.

The centre-forward was among the first signings of the Augusto Melo administration and, two years on, has yet to establish himself. Corinthians agreed a US$5 million fee with Toluca at the time.

After delaying instalments and renegotiating the debt to avoid another transfer ban, the overall cost should reach US$8 million in 2028, the date scheduled for the final payment.

Given the sums involved, a permanent sale is viewed as unlikely, but a loan is considered feasible. Any deal would require the receiving club to cover his wages in full.

Despite his current struggles, he impressed elsewhere, scoring 26 goals in 50 matches for Goiás in 2022 and 17 for Ceará last year. His Corinthians contract runs until 31 December 2028.

Staff believe his profile does not fit the team’s current approach, which prizes Yuri Alberto’s mobility, while Pedro Raul is more of a finisher. In 2026 he has played 25 games for 672 minutes, an average of 27 per match, without scoring. Under Fernando Diniz he has 12 appearances, 317 minutes and one assist.
