Pepito to launch Pelé: O Legado Desconhecido at Museu Pelé | OneFootball

Pepito, Pelé’s businessman and confidant for five decades, is releasing Pelé: O Legado Desconhecido with Trend Editora, offering an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait of Edson Arantes do Nascimento.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the launch takes place at Museu Pelé in Santos on Thursday 26 at 16:00, with free entry, and the book will also be available on Amazon.

The work looks beyond statistics and memorable goals, setting out the human side of Pelé away from the glare and the frenzy of stadiums. It carries a preface by journalist Milton Neves.

Drawing on a lifetime by the great man’s side, Pepito offers a privileged vantage point few could match. Highlights include previously unreleased details from the 1974 World Cup.

The author also outlines the mechanics of major commercial deals and recounts an incident in which he escaped an attempted attack by someone seeking fame.

The launch represents both a tribute to Pelé’s sporting legacy and a historical record of his humanity, one of the 20th century’s most influential figures.
