Vitor Pereira said he is hopeful Nottingham Forest have avoided major damage after their Europa League win over Porto, despite injuries to Chris Wood, Murillo and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

"Only Callum was a muscular injury. We don't know. The other two I think they will recover." He was speaking to TNT Sports.

Forest won 1-0 on the night and 2-1 on aggregate at the City Ground, Morgan Gibbs-White scoring the decisive second-leg goal to set up a semi-final with Aston Villa.

Wood was forced off just past the quarter-hour after a horrible challenge by Jan Bednarek. In the second half Murillo and Hudson-Odoi came off together, the latter had replaced Omari Hutchinson at half-time and was limping as he departed.

Hudson-Odoi looked devastated as he left the pitch and was later seen on crutches.

Pereira had to juggle minutes with Forest chasing European success while still fighting to stay in the Premier League, with a huge trip to Burnley on Sunday. "I have a fantastic team, it's not about the manager. They have the spirit, character and quality."
