Sunderland mounted a superb second-half comeback to beat Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium in their penultimate Premier League fixture on Sunday. Late goals from Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor sent the away end wild and lifted the Black Cats into the top half.

Merlin Rohl’s deflected strike left Sunderland trailing at the interval, before Brian Brobbey levelled. According to Sunderland Echo, these were the standout player ratings from the win.

Goalkeeper Robin Roefs made a brilliant late stop from O’Brien that proved crucial. He stayed composed under pressure and dealt well with set plays, rated seven.

Lutsharel Geertruida did not get forward as much as against Manchester United last week but delivered a solid defensive display, rated seven.

Nordi Mukiele was strong in the air and, in the main, rarely troubled by Beto then Thierno Barry, rated seven.

Omar Alderete started well before going off with what appeared to be a side injury, rated six. It is a worry before the final game of the campaign and with the World Cup on the horizon.
