Sunderland mounted a superb second half comeback to beat Everton in their penultimate Premier League match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Sunday afternoon, climbing into the top half.
According to Sunderland Echo, these are the standout player ratings from the victory.
A deflected strike from Merlin Rohl had his side ahead at the interval. Brian Brobbey equalised after the restart, then Enzo Le Fee and Wilson Isidor struck late to complete the turnaround and ignite the travelling support.
Goalkeeper Robin Roefs made a brilliant late save from O’Brien that proved crucial, stayed composed under pressure and handled set plays well. He could do little about the opener and was rated seven.
Lutsharel Geertruida did not attack as often as against Manchester United but produced a solid defensive display, rated seven. Nordi Mukiele was strong in the air and rarely troubled by Beto and later Thierno Barry, also rated seven.
Omar Alderete started well before going off with what looked to be a side injury. It is a worry before the final game of the campaign and with the World Cup on the horizon, and he was rated six.
