An iconic figure at La Liga giants Real Madrid was in attendance at the club’s derby showdown with Diego Simeone’s Atlético on Sunday night.

The player in question? Sergio Ramos.

Real were of course back in action yesterday evening, welcoming city rivals Atléti to the Bernabéu for the latest edition of the Madrid Derby.

When all was said and done in a pulsating affair, Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result, to keep alive their hopes of ousting reigning champions Barcelona from the summit of the La Liga table.

And as alluded to above, cheering his former club on from the stands along the way was none other than Sergio Ramos.

No stranger to Madrid Derby heroics, Blancos hero Ramos took to his official Instagram account in the game’s aftermath, to unveil a photo of himself in attendance at the Bernabéu late on Sunday:
