According to L'Équipe, Pierre Reynaud, 58, PSG’s academy head of recruitment, will rejoin the Campus PSG early next week after about nine months on sick leave.

The former club midfielder is due back at Poissy. He stepped aside amid strained relations with Yohan Cabaye, the academy’s sporting director.

After a report to the CSE, an internal investigation was conducted and Cabaye, a former international, received a warning.

Reynaud’s return comes as the European champions’ academy enjoy a standout season, with players recruited by his department in recent years to the fore. They reached the Youth League semi-finals and won the Gambardella.

This weekend, PSG’s U17 and U19 contest the finals of their respective French Championships.
