Pierre Sage bids farewell to Lens fans after agreeing Crystal Palace move | OneFootball

Pierre Sage has agreed a three-year deal with Crystal Palace and posted a farewell message to Lens supporters. According to L'Équipe, he will take charge of the London club next season.

Sage guided RC Lens to the Coupe de France this season and a historic second place in Ligue 1, six points behind Paris Saint-Germain.

In a social media post, the 47-year-old thanked the Sang et Or for uniting courage and strength to raise the club’s colours, adding they will remain in his mind and heart.

He is expected to sign his contract formally in the coming days. His Palace salary will be almost four times what he earned in Ligue 1, €100,000 gross per month.

To prise the Ligue 1 coach of the year away, Palace must pay €3 million this summer plus €2 million in add-ons, including one guaranteed if the club stays in the Premier League.
