Plata starts as Flamengo name XI for Fluminense derby in Brasileirão | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, head coach Leonardo Jardim has confirmed Flamengo’s starting XI for the Brasileirão derby with Fluminense at the Maracanã, with Plata in from the start.

The match kicks off at 18:00 Brasília time on Sunday 12, part of the 11th round, as Mengão continue their push for a 10th league title.

The XI is Rossi in goal, Varela, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira and Alex Sandro in defence, Evertton Araújo, Paquetá and Arrascaeta in midfield, Plata, Samuel Lino and Pedro in attack.

Andrew, Dyogo Alves, Emerson Royal, Danilo, Vitão, Ayrton Lucas, De La Cruz, Luiz Felipe, Carrascal, Luiz Araújo, Bruno Henrique and Wallace Yan are among the substitutes.

Flamengo are without four players. Saúl, recovering from heel surgery, and Pulgar, who has an acromioclavicular injury in his right shoulder, miss out.

Jorginho continues treatment for a left calf muscle injury and Everton Cebolinha is sidelined with a rib fracture.

Jardim also welcomes back Alex Sandro after a right hamstring injury, the left back having been out since 22 March.
