A player that Chelsea decided to loan out on transfer deadline day this winter popped up to score on his debut at his new club, obviously!
You almost could not make it up, we all knew this was coming, right?
Chelsea had a pretty quiet transfer window in the winter despite people like Romano and others telling us that it was going to be very busy! It was the opposite from busy in the end. Other than some dry loan deals done for players such as Ben Chilwell, who joined Crystal Palace on deadline day in the end, and Axel Disasi, who also went to another Premier League side in the shape of Champions League chasing Aston Villa, there really wasn’t much more than happened, especially in terms of new arrivals which the squad actually needed.
And another player who got a move away was Joao Felix, who decided to join AC Milan late on in the window on a dry loan move.
Many Chelsea fans were annoyed by Felix departing the club, seeing him as a real creative player who can make things happen and come up with goals and assists. And that’s exactly what he did on his Milan debut.

You can watch his full highlights on X, but Felix scored just 11 minutes into his Milan debut last night with a cheeky little lob finish after being one on one with the goalkeeper.
He was obviously only signed by Chelsea in the first place so they could sell Conor Gallagher to Atletico Madrid, we could all see that, it was clear as day.
And of course he is going to go on and have a good rest of the season with Milan now, because he is a quality player.
