Player ratings: Bontempo and Adonis Frías star as Santos reach Copa do Brasil last 16

Santos beat Coritiba 2-0 at Couto Pereira on Wednesday night to reach the Copa do Brasil last 16, with Gabriel Bontempo and Adonis Frías the standouts.
According to Diario Do Peixe, Bontempo was rated eight after opening the scoring with a superb low strike from outside the area, and Frías received seven and a half for heading in the second from Igor Vinícius' cross. Both goals came early in the first half.
At the back, Lucas Veríssimo earned six and a half for leading a defence that has not conceded for two matches, while goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão, rated six, handled long-range efforts calmly.
Willian Arão, on early, took a six for breaking up play and competing strongly in the air. Christian Oliva, at six and a half, grafted and used the ball well, while Rollheiser was quieter than of late at five and a half but pressed diligently.
Neymar, given six and a half, worked relentlessly as a false nine. Gabriel Menino, five and a half, added bite in midfield and Rony, also five and a half, shored up the flank. Barreal scored six and a half for his contribution, while João Schmidt, Gustavo Henrique and Gabriel Barbosa were not rated due to limited minutes.
Head coach Cuca received seven, his side scoring twice then controlling the contest with composure. The shape again featured Neymar as a false nine and Frías in central defence, with Rollheiser, Barreal and Bontempo also prominent.
