Poppy Pritchard previews Sunday's Hearts clash | OneFootball

Now that the dust has settled on Celtic FC Women’s Scottish Cup semi-final win over Glasgow City on Saturday afternoon, the Hoops’ attentions are now firmly on this Sunday’s SWPL match against Hearts. 

Grant Scott’s side go in to this weekend’s match in high spirits after Saturday’s extra-time victory and they will be looking to add to that positivity with another good result at New Douglas Park on Sunday.

The last time Celtic faced Hearts, the Edinburgh side were convincing 4-1 winners, and speaking to Celtic TV ahead of Sunday’s match, Celtic’s Poppy Pritchard said that she expects a tough match as she reflected on the positive feeling in the squad with a cup final on the horizon.

“The atmosphere is really good after the win at the weekend,” Pritchard said. “I think the girls needed a boost, so to get in to a final has been really good for the girls.

“Everyone is really excited, so it has been a good week. We got over the line in the end so we’re just happy to be in the final.

“The girls are looking sharp and we’ve just come off the back of a really good win and I think this weekend’s game will be a good test for us.

“We have three league games left so if we can just push, do our best in each game and take each game as it comes then I’ll be happy.”
