Portsmouth beat West Bromwich Albion 3-0 at Fratton Park to rise from 21st to 20th in the Championship, with the visitors slipping to 21st.

Conor Chaplin opened the scoring in the 20th minute, lashing high from the centre after Millenic Alli's lay-off.

Alli added the second (25.) on a fast break, racing onto André Dozzell's through ball and finishing calmly.

Eric Ramsay made a triple change at the interval, but after the restart Ebou Adams ran through to slot in from Chaplin's pass (49.).

Nicolas Schmid protected the advantage, tipping over Mikey Johnston's strike from distance (57.). Colby Bishop later departed with an injury (70.).
