Borussia Dortmund travels to Heidenheim this weekend, seeking their first league win of the season. It’s been a poor start to 2025 for the Black-and-Yellows, but after four losses, they achieved a draw and then a win. Perhaps BVB is finally finding some form.
Interim coach Mike Tullberg should be happy with his squad’s midweek performance and will be hoping to inspire another win on his final day in charge of the senior squad. Niko Kovac is set to replace him on Sunday, while Tullberg will return to his post as U19 coach.
Borussia Dortmund sits in eleventh place in the Bundesliga, and nothing less than a win will satisfy fans, as the team must try to climb the league table. It’s hard to predict exactly what to expect from a manager who has only been in charge for two games, but there was plenty of attacking cohesion in the match against Shakhthar Donetsk, and I expect we’ll see more of the same.
