After back-to-back wins against Southampton and Manchester United, Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to get the better of Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend.
Tottenham will head into the Premier League match against Liverpool in North London on Sunday off the back of a 4-3 victory over Manchester United at home in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
It came after a 5-0 hammering of Southampton away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League last weekend.
With Liverpool flying high, it is not going to be easy for Tottenham to win on Sunday, but they will head into the game with confidence.
Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou is likely to keep Fraser Forster in goal against Liverpool. Forster was responsible for two of the goals that Tottenham conceded against United, but with first-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario injured, he will keep his place in the starting line-up.
Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie will be the full-backs against Liverpool. Djed Spence has done well at left-back, but with Udogie now fit and available, the £15 million (Sky Sports) Italy international will be given the nod ahead of the former Leeds United loanee.
With Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero still injured, Radu Dragusin and Archie Gray will keep their respective places in central defence. Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma will be the two holding midfielders.
There is no need for Postecoglou to change their front four from the match against United. Dominic Solanke will lead the line, and the England international striker will be supported from attacking midfield by Dejan Kulusevski, James Maddison and Son Heung-Min.
Predicted Tottenham Hotspur XI (4-2-3-1): Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Solanke
