Jarred Gillett will referee Tottenham Hotspur vs Leeds United on Monday, with Neil Davies and Steve Meredith as assistants, Tom Kirk as fourth official and Craig Pawson on VAR.

As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke’s side head south having virtually secured their Premier League status. Friday’s 3-1 win at Burnley, courtesy of Anton Stach, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, moved them to 43 points and they will be safe if West Ham lose to Arsenal on Sunday.

Tottenham remain in the relegation mix despite back-to-back wins. A 2-1 victory at Aston Villa lifted them out of the bottom three, but they are one point above West Ham in 18th, with Leeds due to face both at their respective home grounds.

Gillett has overseen 20 Premier League matches this season, averaging 19.85 fouls and 3.55 yellow cards per game, placing him among the more lenient officials. Leeds will hope to record their first win of the campaign in a match officiated by him.

Leeds have lost to Arsenal and Nottingham Forest under Gillett this season, then drew with Manchester United and Brentford at Elland Road. He also took charge of last month’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea.

He was marked 4/10 in player ratings for that tie, with the display criticised for inconsistency. Leeds were frequently penalised for soft fouls and the referee could not prevent Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez taking a tactical injury break.

Farke downplayed that stoppage at the time, but earlier in the season he expressed frustration at a free-kick awarded against Anton Stach before Forest’s second goal in a 3-1 defeat, insisting the decision was wrong.
