Mohamed Salah returns to form with Liverpool

Mohamed Salah netted his fifth goal of the season in the Premier League on Tuesday night, finally ending a ten-match goal drought.
The Pharaoh hadn't scored in the English top flight since November 1, 2025, when he found the net against Aston Villa (2-0) on Matchday 10.
Since then, the Egyptian international (113 caps, 65 goals) has spent two matches on the bench—against West Ham and Leeds—missed six games while away at AFCON with Egypt, and played in ten more without hitting the back of the net.
Goalless against Brighton, Bournemouth, Newcastle, West Ham and twice versus Manchester City, Nottingham Forest, and Sunderland, Mohamed Salah finally broke his lengthy drought away at Wolves.
But it wasn't enough, as the Reds ended up conceding a second goal in added time, suffering a 2-1 defeat—a tough blow in their race for a Champions League spot.
The Baysoun native is enduring his toughest statistical season since joining Liverpool, with just 5 goals and 6 assists in 21 Premier League appearances.
