Wolves benefited from an incorrect on-field call in their 2-2 draw at Brentford, with the Premier League’s Key Match Incidents Panel later judging a home penalty should have been awarded. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the ruling followed a first-half incident.
Brentford were 2-0 up in the 41st minute when Kevin Schade was held by Andre. It was not given on the field and VAR did not step in.
The panel determined the holding was sustained and voted by four to one in favour of a penalty. They also concluded the incident was not a clear and obvious error, so VAR was right not to intervene.
Wolves later fought back to 2-2 through Adam Armstrong and Tolu Arokodare at the Gtech Community Stadium. It was their final outing before a three-week break.
Arokodare struck the bar late on, with Wolves close to snatching all three points.
