Premier League quartet now ‘on alert’ after learning of ‘technically brilliant’ Man Utd star’s availability this summer

Manchester United are poised to sanction numerous outgoings this summer, though for four players, they won’t receive a penny in return.

Indeed, the Red Devils will bid farewell to senior Reds Christian Eriksen, Victor Lindelof, Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton when their deals expire at the end of June, with no Red receiving a fresh contract proposal from the club as they enter the final months of their tenures.

Of the quartet, you’d expect Heaton and Evans could look to pull the curtains on his playing careers entirely. Both are now in their late 30s, while the latter has suffered unrelenting injury setbacks in recent years.

For Eriksen and Lindelof, it’s entirely up to them where they want to ply their trade next. There’s no doubt a host of sides will be open to welcoming such experienced players as free agents, and for the Swede, he may even have the option of staying in England – albeit moving from Manchester.

CaughtOffside has today claimed that Lindelof has garnered interest in the top flight from the likes of Everton, Fulham, West Ham and Wolverhampton Wanderers. Benfica have set their sights on a reunion with their former defensive star, and Serie A outfits AC Milan, Inter Milan, and Juventus are among his admirers, who are all ‘on alert’.

The 30-year-old – hailed as a ‘technically brilliant’ talent by counterpart Harry Maguire – has also fallen victim to frequent injury setbacks as of late, which will undoubtedly be something his lengthy list of suitors has to consider. That being said, it’s not as if they’re parting with much money to facilitate his arrival.

Since 2024/2025 got underway, Lindelof has been limited to only 11 appearances in all competitions and has yet to start a Premier League game.
