The Premier League run-in will settle the title, final relegation place and European spots by Sunday, 24 May, with only two matchdays left, according to NY Times.

Arsenal beat West Ham on Sunday to lead by five after City won 3-0 at Brentford. City then beat Crystal Palace 3-0 on Wednesday to trim it to two.

Two Arsenal wins settle it. Beat Burnley and any City slip at Bournemouth next Tuesday could clinch the title early. If City win, it goes to the final day.

Relegation now concerns only Tottenham and West Ham, alongside Burnley and Wolverhampton Wanderers. West Ham must win at Newcastle on Sunday to leapfrog Spurs, whose Chelsea trip is on Tuesday, otherwise Spurs can clinch safety, helped by a two-point lead and far superior goal difference.

The top five will reach the 2026-27 Champions League. Sixth could join if Aston Villa finish fifth and win the Europa League in Istanbul, Türkiye. If Villa end fourth there is no extra slot. If they end sixth and lift the trophy, they qualify.

Villa host Liverpool on Friday after the game was brought forward, both sit fourth and fifth on 59 points. Victory for either guarantees top five, and a Liverpool win would effectively secure fourth on goal difference.

Bournemouth, Brighton and Brentford are contesting sixth. Seventh guarantees Europe, and eighth would too if City beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final. Palace could reach the Europa League by beating Rayo Vallecano in Leipzig on Wednesday, 27 May.
