Hansi Flick considers Crystal Palace star Marc Guéhi the ideal addition to his defensive setup at Barcelona.

This comes amid an ongoing search for defensive reinforcements on the part of those behind the scenes at the Spotify Camp Nou.

With Andreas Christensen primed to move on, and Ronald Araújo continuing to struggle for form, Barcelona are expected to bring in at least one new centre-back next summer.

And manager Hansi Flick, as alluded to above, considers Marc Guéhi the perfect fit.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Barcelona are keeping an eye on his situation as he is a player who technically fits what Hansi Flick wants.’

England international Guéhi is set to depart Crystal Palace at the season’s end, following the expiration of his Eagles contract.

Amid stiff competition for his signature, though, it is also noted that Barcelona have no intention of entering a bidding war to bring the 25-year-old to La Liga.
