Prestianni agent says UEFA rumours about Benfica winger are false | OneFootball

Gianluca Prestianni’s agent has addressed rumours around a UEFA investigation involving the Benfica winger after the incident with Vinícius Júnior at Estádio da Luz.

"Everything that has been published about what Gianluca Prestianni said in UEFA investigations is false. No one has officially contacted us to inform us about possible sanctions related to the matter." He told WinWin.

Claims had circulated that the player told UEFA he used "maricón/maricas" rather than "mono/macaco" during the episode.

"After the statement issued by Benfica, we do not want to continue with this topic. We have already made it clear that what happened was not as they tried to present or portray in relation to Gianluca. From now on, what matters to us is to give the player peace and calm."

Prestianni, valued at €12 million, has made 30 appearances for Benfica this season, 18 in Liga Portugal Betclic, seven in the Champions League, two in the Taça de Portugal, two in the Taça da Liga and one in the Supertaça. Across 1,460 minutes he has scored two goals and provided one assist.
