Leeds United return to Premier League action as they travel to the Sussex coast for Saturday afternoon’s clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Whites will be looking to make it back-to-back wins in the top-flight after an impressive performance against West Ham United last time out brought a 2-1 victory for Daniel Farke’s side.
Under the Elland Road lights, Leeds got off to the perfect start thanks to early goals from Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon which proved to be enough to earn a third win of the campaign, despite a late consolation for the visitors.
The Wales international defender’s header was his second goal in just four matches, having only netted once for the club previously!
Victory over the Hammers takes United’s points tally to 11 from nine matches, lifting the team to 15th in the Premier League standings, two places below Saturday’s hosts.
Under the guidance of boss Fabian Hürzeler, Brighton have enjoyed some notable results so far this season, including wins over Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle United.
The Seagulls did fall to defeat last time round, however, losing 4-2 at Manchester United despite second half goals from Danny Welbeck and Charalampos Kostoulas.
The South Coast outfit were also in EFL Cup Fourth Round action during the week, falling to a 2-0 loss at the hands of Arsenal.
Action from the Amex gets underway at 3pm.
