Gamba Osaka then Basaksehir

This Wednesday, July 15th, Danny Röhl will put all of our Red Bulls to the test once again. Two friendly matches will provide plenty of match practice before the first competitive match of the season next week.

15:00 CET in Anif v Gamba Osaka

We'll start in a special format of 3 x 30 minutes against the team from the Japanese J1 League. The opponents recently won AFC Champions League Two – the Asian equivalent of the Europa League – with a 1-0 victory against Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in the final. Their head coach at the time was our former assistant coach, Jens Wissing, who, however, has now moved to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia after just six months in Japan.

18:30 in Nonntal v Basaksehir

Our second friendly will be against the fifth-placed team from last season's Süper Lig. The 2020 Turkish champions are preparing for the upcoming season in Geinberg and need to slowly but surely get up to speed. Next week, the team coached by Nuri Sahin will face the winner of Sarajevo (BIH) vs. Turku (FIN) in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League.
