Brian Priske spoke earnestly in his press conference ahead of Feyenoord’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, bringing up two new injury concerns.
While the absences of Quinten Timber and In-Beom Hwang were expected, the blows to Gjivai Zechiël and Ramiz Zerrouki are new additions to the Feyenoord injury bay – with the latter reportedly out of action for a long time. Priske said:
“Quinten and Hwang are of course not there yet but Zerrouki and Zechiël have also fallen out of the selection. Zerrouki in particular will last longer. I can’t say much about that (his injury).” Zerrouki is believed to have sustained the injury in the Eredivisie match against Willem II (1-1).
Priske realises that he faces a ‘big puzzle’ in midfield. “Yes, that’s the right word.” Antoni Milambo and Calvin Stengs are fit for the encounter with the German giants, while winter signing Jakub Moder is not yet eligible.
