Alejandro Balde is one of several young talents to have burst through into the first-team setup at FC Barcelona from La Masia in recent seasons and cemented a place in the side.

The 21-year-old left-back is a permanent fixture at left-back for manager Hansi Flick and has been tied to a long-term contract until the summer of 2028.

Prior to his renewal, Balde had been attracting interest from several clubs, as recently confirmed by his agent Jorge Mendes. And it appears that the Spaniard continues to be in demand.

PSG following Alejandro Balde

Indeed, as reported by journalist Matteo Moretto, PSG are closely following Alejandro Balde with an eye on the summer transfer window.

The French champions are staring at the prospect of losing young left-back Nuno Mendes, whose contract expires in 2026, with Manchester United planning a swoop for the Portuguese starlet.

In case Mendes departs, Les Parisiens will seek a replacement and as such, have identified Balde as a possible candidate.

At this moment, there have been no contacts or negotiations between any of the parties involved, but PSG see the 21-year-old Barcelona youngster’s profile as a good fit if Mendes were to leave.

As mentioned above, Balde has a contract with Barça until the summer of 2028 and considering his standing within the team, it is unlikely that the Blaugrana would entertain any proposals for him, unless they are too good to turn down.

Either way, there is still a lot of time for the summer transfer window and there is nothing concrete as far as PSG’s interest is concerned, apart from them monitoring the Spanish international.
