While Real Madrid have sold several highly rated academy prospects in the past, one of the cases they will continue to deeply regret is that of Achraf Hakimi.

The Moroccan right-back, after all, has gone on to become one of the best players in the world in his position and Real Madrid have continually monitored his situation over a potential return.

A recent update brought to light that Hakimi was considering a move back to his former club but also relayed how the operation will be highly complicated.

Hakimi’s agent speaks

Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano spoke to the media via AS in a recent interaction where he gave an insider’s perspective on the player’s future.

He bluntly closed down all talks of a departure and insisted that the player was going to stay in Paris despite all rumours.

“Achraf is very happy at Paris Saint-Germain, very happy there, and wants to win the Champions League for the second time, in addition to taking the team as far as possible.”

Elaborating on Hakimi’s commitment to PSG and why a move was off the table, Camano said,

“We still have a three-year contract with the Parisian club, and at the moment he doesn’t think about anything but Paris Saint-Germain.”

“He is very satisfied with his coach, with his teammates and he also feels comfortable in the country. For now, there is no chance of going out,” he added.

Finally, he was asked if there was ever any interest from Real Madrid to sign the player recently, to which he clearly shut down the claims.

“No, it has never happened.”
