Barcelona continue to focus on securing the future of their most promising academy talents, and Juan Hernandez’s case is currently one of the most pressing.
Under the guidance of Juliano Belletti, the young attacking midfielder has been in exceptional form for Barça Atletic, and has become one of the team’s key figures this season.
Hernandez’s contract expires at the end of the season, and with no renewal agreement secured yet, reports suggested that PSG had taken an interest in signing the 18-year-old in 2026.
However, according to SPORT, PSG have denied any plans to make a move for Juan Hernandez or any other Barcelona academy player.
The Parisians’ director, Luis Campos, and manager, Luis Enrique, are said to have no intention of touching Barça’s youth system or damaging the increasingly positive relationship between the two clubs.

With PSG distancing themselves from a move for the teenage prodigy, Barcelona are now moving ahead with their plans to renew the player’s contract.
As reported already, an initial meeting had taken place between Hernandez’s agent and the club’s sporting management to begin outlining terms for a new deal.
The 18-year-old midfield talent himself is clear that he wants to continue his career at Barcelona, and a new meeting between both parties is scheduled for next week to advance the discussions.
Since Hernandez’s release clause was set at €6 million after he turned 18, several clubs have shown interest in paying it, but the La Masia gem has always been committed to the Blaugrana colours.
His stance remains unchanged as renewal talks continue, and both parties hope to reach an agreement soon.
