PSG beat Bayern Munich 5-4 in a breathless Champions League semi-final first leg, with Khvitcha Kvaratskhelia and Luis Diaz embodying the chaos at the Parc des Princes.
According to L'Équipe, the pair were the night’s catalysts as momentum swung throughout. Harry Kane put Bayern ahead with a 17th-minute penalty won by Diaz.
Kvaratskhelia levelled on 24 minutes, Joao Neves then headed PSG in front on 33, before Michael Olise’s burst made it 2-2 on 41.
Ousmane Dembélé restored the lead from the spot in first-half stoppage time after Alphonso Davies handled his cross. After the interval, Kvaratskhelia struck again from Achraf Hakimi’s pass on 56.
Dembélé added a fifth on 59, set up by Désiré Doué, capping a display that saw him involved in four goals.
Bayern rallied as Dayot Upamecano glanced in Joshua Kimmich’s free-kick on 65, then Diaz finished superbly from Kane’s pass on 68 to make it 5-4.
Olise tormented Nuno Mendes before the break, while Manuel Neuer failed to make a save. Hakimi supplied an assist but finished injured and is a major doubt for the return.
Luis Enrique’s starting choices were justified, though Paris dipped after his changes. Vincent Kompany’s defensive plan misfired and Davies was withdrawn at half-time.
