PSG have sounded out Barcelona forward Ferran Torres as cover for a possible Bradley Barcola departure this summer. Sky Sports Italia reports the Paris club have explored the option in recent weeks.
Work on Maghnes Akliouche of Monaco and Yan Diomandé of RB Leipzig continues to offset the sale of Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan and the expected exit of Lee Kang-in to Atlético de Madrid. The club are also planning beyond those moves.
Torres, 26, is highly regarded by Luis Enrique and the sporting leadership, and is currently at the World Cup with Spain. The Barça attacker has been approached.
Any Torres move appears contingent on a major attacking departure, specifically Barcola. Torres is tied to Barcelona until 2027. Talks over a Barcola extension have been paused after months of discussions while he is in the United States for the World Cup with France.
With two years left on his current deal, uncertainty persists over Barcola’s intentions. PSG value him at €150m, and Liverpool, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are among the interested clubs.
If he does leave, Torres is not the only option under review. The Spain international operates primarily at centre forward rather than wide, and he scored 16 goals in 33 La Liga matches last season.
