PSG handed three forfeits over Florianne Jourde licence issue | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain’s women have been handed three defeats by forfeit after an administrative issue with Florianne Jourde’s licence. The club intends to appeal the rare sanction.

The FFF body has recorded defeats against Strasbourg on 19 October, 1-0, Le Havre on 1 November, 2-0, and Fleury on 8 November, where the original score was 4-0 after Fleury complained about an irregularity on the French-Canadian forward’s paperwork. The club said in a statement that it will appeal, calling the sanction disproportionate for an administrative lapse that FIFA has since regularised and insisting it acted in good faith with no undue benefit.

An international transfer certificate should have accompanied the 21-year-old’s licence because she played several matches for AS Laval’s amateurs in Canada in 2022-2023. It was not added at the time, but has since been regularised.

Stripped of nine points, PSG now have 17 and drop to fifth in the Première Ligue, level with Fleury.

Paris also fielded Jourde against Wolfsburg, Real and Benfica in the Champions League.
