PSG head coach Luis Enrique has scooped the first award of the evening for Les Parisiens at the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony. The Spaniard has won the Men’s Johann Cruyff Trophy, which is awarded to the best head coach of the previous season. The former Barcelona manager is fairly rewarded for PSG’s brilliant campaign, which culminated with the Ligue 1 club’s maiden Champions League title.

Luis Enrique was nominated alongside Liverpool’s Arne Slot, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, Barcelona’s Hansi Flick and Napoli’s Antonio Conte. The Spaniard succeeds Spain’s Luis de la Fuente. Luis Enrique obviously could not be present at Paris’ Théâtre du Châtelet, considering he’s currently overseeing this Monday’s postponed Classique between PSG and Marseille.
