Paris Saint-Germain reached the Champions League semi-finals after a 2-0 first leg in Paris was followed by a 2-0 win at Anfield on Tuesday against Liverpool.
Ousmane Dembélé scored twice at Anfield, his third multi-goal Champions League match after a hat-trick against Stuttgart on 29 January 2025 and a brace against Brest on 11 February 2025. L'Équipe notes PSG are in the semi-finals for the sixth time after 1995, 2020, 2021, 2024 and 2025, more than any other French club.
They are the only team to have reached the semi-finals in each of the last three editions.
PSG have progressed in all five two-legged ties against Premier League opposition over the past two seasons, after losing the previous three. They beat Liverpool in the last 16, Aston Villa in the quarter-finals and Arsenal in the semi-finals last season, then Chelsea in the last 16 and Liverpool in this season’s quarters.
It is only the second time under QSI that PSG have gone through a Champions League knockout tie without conceding, the previous instance coming in last season’s play-offs against Brest, which finished 3-0 and 7-0.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has 13 goal involvements this Champions League season, eight goals and five assists, with only Kylian Mbappé on 15 ahead of him.
