Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to bid close to €100million for the transfer of Newcastle United striker and Arsenal target Alexander Isak.

The Sweden international has been a world class performer during his time in the Premier League, and it makes sense that he’s attracting plenty of interest at the moment as he continues to shine and show his quality in front of goal.

Isak hit a hat-trick for Newcastle in yesterday’s win over Ipswich Town, making it six goals and two assists in his last five games in all competitions.

PSG lost Kylian Mbappe over the summer, so it makes sense that Luis Enrique might be keen to strengthen his squad with a top class signing in attack.

According to Fichajes, the Ligue 1 giants could try a big-money bid for Isak, though the report adds that Newcastle don’t want to sell their star player.

Arsenal fans will be worried by his development as Isak looks an ideal signing to strengthen Mikel Arteta’s side.

The Gunners are a little short of quality up front at the moment, with Gabriel Jesus only just hitting form again after a long period of really struggling to make an impact.

There’s no guarantee Jesus will be able to maintain this little hot streak, and Arsenal will also surely suffer if Bukayo Saka’s injury ends up being serious.

Isak could therefore be ideal to help turn Arsenal into title favourites, but PSG might have the money to out-bid the north London giants.

On top of that, if Newcastle were to sell a talent like Isak, they would surely rather see him move abroad than to one of their rivals in the Premier League.
