PSG could be preparing for a transfer showdown with Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus, and Real Madrid over one of Spain’s most promising young defenders. With Luis Enrique flourishing in Paris—particularly in developing young talent—the club may try to bring the highly rated prospect to the French capital.

Even with one of the top defenses in Ligue 1, PSG’s backline is beginning to show some wear after a long season. Lucas Hernandez is still working his way back from a serious injury, and while Marquinhos remains a key leader, he’s not quite as explosive as he once was.

Presnel Kimpembe remains influential in the locker room, but his availability on the field is still a question mark in both the short and mid-term. Luis Enrique sees real potential in Lucas Beraldo, though the Brazilian is still viewed as more of a depth piece than a regular starter.

One defender that PSG are linked to is Valencia center-back Cristhian Mosquera. Valencia star José Gayà said that Cristhian Mosquera hasn’t signed with Arsenal or any other club yet and added that he’s still hoping the defender stays at Valencia.

“I would be delighted if all three [Mosquera, Javi Guerra and César Tárrega] could stay because I think they can give a lot this new season and bring a lot of joy to the fans,” he is quoted saying to À Puunt (h/t The Mirror).

“As of today, unless there’s any breaking news, I think all three of them are still with us, and I hope it continues like this, and they continue to grow as players.”

Marca has reported that Real Madrid are already weighing their options for next summer’s free agents. Arsenal left-back Myles Lewis-Skelly and Mosquera are among the names on their radar.

Foot Mercato reported that Mosquera is on PSG’s transfer radar this summer to continue injecting youth into the center-back position. A key player for Valencia, the Alicante native could be sold by the club to boost its finances.

Cadena SER’s latest report suggests Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The English club is reportedly willing to offer around €20 million, a fee that Valencia views as fair for one of their top young talents.
