Paris Saint-Germain have been keeping an eye on Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich for months, even coming close to signing him last summer. Nonetheless, the Parisians are again revisiting this file and hoping that this time around, they will succeed.
Barcelona are reportedly targeting Joshua Kimmich and Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah as they look to strengthen their midfield and defense ahead of the 2025 season.
Journalists Christian Falk and Tobi Altschäffl have previously reported that Bayern Munich have given up on persuading Kimmich to take a pay cut from his current €20 million annual salary.
With his contract expiring next year and increasing interest from top clubs, it now seems unlikely that Kimmich will agree to a reduced deal.

Falk has provided an update on PSG’s interest in Kimmich as he’s yet to extend his contract with Bayern Munich. According to Falk, PSG are showing strong interest in Kimmich.
The French champions targeted him last summer, but he turned down a move. Now, Paris has rekindled their interest. Inter Milan and Liverpool are also reportedly in the mix. Bayern and Kimmich are still in touch, and an extension with the club hasn’t been completely ruled out.
Recently, TEAMtalk reported that Liverpool have alternative targets in mind and aren’t fully focused on Kimmich, who could end up at an Italian club.
The report also claims that talks between Bayern Munich and Kimmich over a new deal aren’t progressing because Kimmich doesn’t feel valued in the club’s plans.
