PSG Sign Barcelona Teen Pedro “Dro” Fernandez in Another Deal Linking the Two Clubs
PSG have signed Barcelona teenager Pedro “Dro” Fernandez until 2030 adding to a long list of players they have taken from Barca.
Paris Saint Germain announced on 26 January 2026 that they have signed Pedro “Dro” Fernandez on contract running until June 2030.
The 18 year-old midfielder will wear shirt number 27 in Paris.
Barcelona also confirmed an agreement with PSG for Dro’s transfer ending his spell at the club after he made five first team appearances this season.
Several reports say PSG paid a fee a little above the release clause, with figures around €8 - 8.2 million mentioned across platforms.
Dro had been promoted and used with the first team but his minutes were limited.
One report said he played 148 minute across five match and the player decided he wanted clearer path to regular football.
Reports also described frustration inside the club because the exit happened quickly after discussions about his future.
Dro’s transfer has renewed focus on long trend.
Barcelona one of PSG’s most important recruitment sources in modern times. Big names have moved from Barca to Paris in recent years including Lionel Messi, Neymar and Ousmane Dembélé plus players such as Arnau Tenas, Xavi Simons & Maxwell.
The pattern is also supported by transfer databases that track club to club moves and show Barcelona among PSG’s most frequent sources over the last decade plus.
