PSG will play Angers in the second fixture of the Ligue 1 season at their home ground the Parc des Princes.
The French and European champions opened the season with a hard-fought win at Nantes in their opening fixture. Angers also travel to the capital with confidence after making a winning start to the 2025/26 season.
PSG will return home to Parc des Princes after their narrow 1-0 victory away at Nantes in their 2025/26 Ligue 1 season opener.
Luis Enrique’s side enjoyed a positive start with Vitinha scoring the match-winning goal. The club recently secured two notable signings — goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier and defender Illia Zabarnyi, who are expected to strengthen the squad.
João Neves was suspended for the opener after a red card in the previous campaign, but is free to return on Friday. Senny Mayulu remains sidelined with a minor muscular thigh injury.
Angers head into this fixture having also won their opening match 1-0 against Paris FC, thanks to Esteban Lepaul’s early goal. However, Louis Mouton is suspended after receiving a straight red card in that game and will miss this trip to Paris.
Angers coach Alexandre Dujeux’s side won against a promoted side on the opening day and will rely on defensive solidity to challenge PSG away from home.
PSG started the season as expected; with a win thanks to the only goal from Vitinha. Now they will look to continue their winning streak, as well as their good head-to-head record, against Angers.
Angers also won in the opening weekend of the league against the newly promoted club Paris FC. A 1-0 win secured all three points, ahead of a tough trip to take on the French and European champions
