An integral part of Paris Saint-Germain’s UEFA Champions League title run last season will be back in the French capital next week.
L’Équipe reports that Ousmane Dembélé (28) will be in Clairefontaine from Monday for the next step in his rehabilitation. The Ballon d’Or winner, who suffered a hamstring strain for France in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in September, has been getting treatment in Doha.
The programme is designed for him to work with his rehab team next week in Paris, in hopes of returning to the field sooner. Dembélé hasn’t featured for Les Bleus or PSG since sustaining his injury in early September against Ukraine.
Despite his absence and other notable omissions like Désiré Doué (20), PSG are 2-0 to begin their new Champions League campaign, coming from behind to beat Barcelona 2-1 on matchday two.
France will face Azerbaijan in a World Cup qualifier on October 10 before taking on Iceland in Reykjavik three days later. Dembélé could be back in the PSG fold on October 17 when they host RC Strasbourg at the Parc des Princes.
