Quentin Ndjantou (18), alongside Ibrahim Mbaye (17), is one of the Paris Saint-Germain academy products to have broken into the first team this season.
In the first half of the campaign, the versatile forward has already made 15 first-team appearances, scoring once and registering two assists in that time. The Frenchman, admired for his versatility, has made three UEFA Champions League appearances, assisting once.
However, despite playing an important role in recent weeks, especially given the injury problems that Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé have both faced, he has now suffered an injury blow of his own. He felt discomfort in his hamstring during the Coupe de France win over Vendée Fontenay last weekend. He felt that discomfort around the 30-minute mark but he continued until half-time, at which point he was replaced by Mathis Jangeal.
Tests, however, have revealed a grade three hamstring injury, according to a report from Le Parisien. Ndjantou is therefore set to be sidelined for between six and eight weeks.
