PSV host FC Twente in the Eredivisie on Sunday, 17 May 2026 at the Philips Stadion, with the leaders aiming to stay clear at the summit while the visitors look to cement Champions League qualification.
PSV top the table on 81 points after 33 games, with FC Twente third on 58. Recent head to heads have largely favoured the hosts, who have dominated this fixture in recent seasons.
Boeren arrive unbeaten in five league outings, including a 6-1 home win over PEC Zwolle and a 4-1 victory at Go Ahead Eagles. FC Twente are also unbeaten in five, drawing at AZ and beating Ajax away before a 4-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam.
Boeren are without Alassane Plea, Jerdy Schouten, Mauro Júnior, Ismael Saibari, Ruben van Bommel and Wessel Kuhn. FC Twente miss goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall and defender Mees Hilgers. Midfield absences for the hosts could shape the selection balance.
Boeren have been prolific, scoring 96 league goals with 61% average possession and 86.73% passing accuracy. Their 470 open-play crosses and 24 headed goals suggest delivery into the box could be a key route, with Ricardo Pepi on 15 league goals and Joey Veerman leading the assists chart with 14. FC Twente have conceded only 35, kept eight clean sheets and average 54% possession. Kristian Hlynsson (10 league goals), Daan Rots (nine) and creator Sam Lammers (seven assists) provide the threat.
A home win would lift Boeren to 84 points and keep them in charge of the title race. Victory for FC Twente would take them to 61 points and strengthen their grip on a Champions League qualification place, while dropped points could invite pressure from the chasing pack.
