As reported by Foot Mercato, Schalke 04 forward Pape Meïssa Ba (27) is in advanced negotiations to join Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

The Senegalese striker left Grenoble Foot 38 in January after finishing the first half of the Ligue 2 season as top scorer. He made the switch to Bundesliga 2 outfit Schalke 04, but could now be on the move again just six months later.

Ba’s representatives are in close contact with QPR, who appointed former Rennes and Strasbourg manager Julien Stéphan last month as head coach.

A product of AS Dakar Sacré-Cœur, Ba has previously featured for ESTAC Troyes and Paris suburb side Red Star FC (where he was top scorer in the French third tier) before making his mark in Ligue 2 with Grenoble, where he scored 13 goals in 18 matches during the first half of the 2023/24 campaign.GFFN | George Boxall
