Rafa Silva to rejoin Benfica for five million euros plus add-ons | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, Rafa Silva will rejoin Benfica for five million euros plus two million in add-ons, signing a two and a half year contract and leaving Besiktas permanently.

The Portugal international, also courted in Saudi Arabia, could make his second debut next week when Benfica face Estrela da Amadora on 25 January at 18:00 in the 19th round of the Primeira Liga.

He will not feature against Juventus, as he cannot be registered in the Champions League at this stage.

His spell in Istanbul included internal disagreements over sporting and management decisions, periods out of the side, and instability amid coaching changes and tension. Those disputes became public, and the club’s willingness to sell this window reflected the strain.

He is set to return a year and a half after his move. This season for Besiktas he has played 16 competitive matches, 10 in the Turkish league, four in the Conference League and two in Europa League qualifying, totalling 1,360 minutes with five goals and three assists.
