Rafael Louzán, president of the Spanish football federation, the RFEF, has said the 2030 World Cup final will be staged in Spain, with the tournament co-hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco.

Louzán also referred to organisational issues seen during the Africa Cup held in Morocco, while praising the country’s transformation and its excellent stadiums. He said some scenes harmed the image of world football.

He said the federation intends to deliver the best World Cup in history, noting it will mark 100 years since the tournament held in Uruguay.

Louzán added that Spain must be up to the occasion and that work is under way to ensure the country delivers the best World Cup in 2030.
