FIFA has confirmed rainbow flags will be permitted inside Seattle’s Lumen Field for Iran v Egypt, while distancing itself from the local Pride Game branding.

It does not endorse the Pride Game label for the fixture, scheduled for 05:00 on Saturday, a name used by the Seattle local organising committee in reference to the city’s Pride festivities across the weekend.

Such flags are allowed at Lumen Field and across all venues, in line with tournament regulations.

The 2026 World Cup is described as inclusive and welcoming of people from all backgrounds, with supporters of all sexual orientations and gender identities welcome at matches and events.

General displays supporting human rights, including rainbow flags and others representing sexual orientation and gender identity, are permitted under the 2026 Stadium Code of Conduct when used in accordance with that code.
