Rani Khedira urged against writing Union Berlin off after a battling draw at Augsburg. According to BuLi News, he hailed the team's fighting spirit after the result.

Union are unbeaten in four after claiming back-to-back draws from losing positions. As he did against Mainz at the weekend, substitute Marin Ljubicic struck the equaliser for Steffen Baumgart's side in Augsburg.

"You should never write us off!" said Khedira, who felt fresh legs from the bench underline their spirit. He added that Union had the better first-half chances, that Augsburg's goal was beautifully struck, and that the leveller was deserved.

Head coach Steffen Baumgart shared that view, saying they played a very good first half that ended with a screamer, not for them. He praised his team for earning a point even with 10 men.

Union travel again on Sunday to face fourth-placed VfB Stuttgart in the opening round of the Rückrunde.
