Onyedika wants to slow down in choosing his next destination.
Raphael Onyedika is in no hurry to leave Club Brugge
Despite attracting attention from several European clubs, Nigerian defensive midfielder Raphael Onyedika is in no rush to leave Club Brugge. Reports suggest he might even extend his stay with the Belgian side.
The 24-year-old Super Eagles player has been linked with clubs like Fenerbahçe (Turkey), West Ham (Premier League), and AC Milan (Serie A). While Fenerbahçe showed strong interest, talks collapsed after Brugge set a €40 million price tag.
A source close to CAA Stellar, Onyedika’s agency, revealed to Africafoot that the player remains fully committed to Brugge’s project and has no intention of forcing an exit. His current contract runs until 2027.
"Right now, his focus is entirely on Club Brugge," the source stated. "Any potential transfer will depend on the clubs involved. Raphael isn’t pushing for a move—he’s happy here and remains a dedicated professional, always striving to improve. He trusts the right opportunity will come at the right time."
