Barcelona star Raphinha has taken to social media, to send a heartfelt message to young teammate Gavi.

This comes as the midfield starlet continues to work towards his return to the pitch.

Barcelona, for their part, were back in action on Saturday night, welcoming Athletic Club to Catalunya’s capital for a La Liga clash.

When all was said and done, the Blaugrana emerged on the right side of a 2-1 result, with the aforementioned Raphinha having played a starring role.

Gavi, meanwhile, was in attendance to support his teammates, spotted on the pitch both before and after the matchup, in discussion with numerous members of Hansi Flick’s squad.

As much comes as the 20-year-old kicks into gear the final stretch of his recovery, following a long-term spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury.

And one individual who has made clear that he cannot wait for Gavi’s return, comes in the form of Raphinha.

Taking to Instagram in the aftermath of last night’s downing of Athletic, wide-man Raphinha unveiled a photo of he and the Spanish international on the pitch, accompanied by the caption:

“I miss you on the pitch little bro”
