Raphinha has set out his determination to return for Brazil as soon as possible after a right thigh muscle injury at the World Cup, with no timeline set. His latest setback came after their second match.
The player said in a post that he loves football and the Brazil shirt, will keep working every day to improve, and will do everything within his power to recover quickly and rejoin his team-mates, and said he remains strong. The message was reflective, paired with an early Seleção photo and references to childhood dreams, gratitude and country.
Medical tests identified a muscle injury in the back of his right thigh and he will follow an intensive treatment plan designed to speed recovery. There is doubt over whether he can feature again at this World Cup. At Barcelona he suffered four muscle problems last season, mostly hamstrings.
For now he will miss Brazil's next game, in the early hours of Thursday against Scotland, with top spot in the group at stake. Morocco face Haiti.
Both teams have four points and Brazil's goal difference is only two better. There is also talk he will not be available for the round of 32.
